Xavion Bond, Associate Clinical Social Worker
ph. 707-390-0149
I am a father, husband, brother, and son. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and for the past 15 years I have called Humboldt County home. In 2015, I earned my bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Humboldt State University, where I learned how powerful storytelling can be in helping people feel seen, heard, and understood. After a brief stint in the worlds of corporate media, construction, retail,
and commercial cultivation, I felt called to return to school to pursue social work. In the spring of 2025, I received my MSW from Cal Poly Humboldt.
As a graduate student, I served as a drug diversion counselor for junior high and high school students, a community organizer, and I supported survivors as a Victim Advocate in a tribal setting. These roles shaped my ability to create supportive, nonjudgmental spaces that foster curiosity and allowed me to walk alongside people as they navigate challenges and work towards their goals. In therapy, I believe the foundation of any work we do together is a genuine and ethical connection. I trust that individuals are the experts of their own lives, and strive to support each person’s right to self determination. My approach integrates evidence-based tools and person-centered methods to meet people where they are.
I work with transition-age youth, adults, and elders. I also have a passion for supporting new and expecting fathers through prenatal and postpartum phases of parenthood as well as navigating the challenges of fatherhood as a whole.
I understand how reaching out for support can feel intimidating or uncomfortable, and may be a barrier for some. I’m here to offer a fresh perspective and help you take steps toward growth, change, or healing. I look forward to connecting with you, I am available for free 15 minute
phone consultations on Friday afternoons.
