Director of Operations
Joselyn is driven by a deep commitment to the health and resilience of this community. She leads with curiosity, openness and a belief that the best decisions come from combining data with authentic relationships and shared learning. Guided by strong personal values, she enjoys solving complex problems, building sustainable systems and creating environments where both people and organizations can thrive. She is passionate about leaving Humboldt County more healthier, more connected and better equipped to care for future generations.
Joselyn offers experience in operations for non-profit organizations in Humboldt County and abroad in various sectors such as child welfare, advocacy, disinformation, foundational giving and more. Having grown up in Humboldt, she has a passion for the health of this place and the people that live here.
In addition to her work as Director of Operations at Humboldt Counseling Connection, Joselyn is also a lecturer of culture and socio-economic development at Cal Poly Humboldt. This centers Joselyn in the work of the community, and she is always asking the question “What do communities need to thrive?”. Mental, behavioral and spiritual health, as well as a sense of belonging, are integral answers to this question.
Joselyn specializes in change work, data-driven decision making, people-centered strategic planning and engaging the community. She works to see Humboldt Counseling Connection as a collaborative center for growth, healing and prosperity for our community.
