Amy Gores, LMFT
ph. 707-390-0114
Originally from Texas, I have lived in Humboldt County for over two decades and truly cherish the mystical nature and community.
I obtained my Master’s Degree in Psychology from Humboldt State University in 2002. I have experience working with individuals, couples, families and youth. My clinical experience includes working with a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges, addiction issues, intimate partner violence, at-risk youth and the child welfare and justice involved populations.
I approach our working relationship with curiosity, authenticity, and compassion.
I want to help you gain insight into emotions, thoughts, behaviors and relationships to promote self-awareness, self-acceptance and empower positive change.
As we journey through life, we encounter opportunities and challenges. I want to help you continue in your journey with intention and assist you in challenging those automatic and rigid patterns that may be limiting your authenticity, self-compassion and healing.
Everyone’s path is unique and sometimes change can be uncomfortable. My purpose is to walk with you down your path and provide a trauma focused, integrated, and tailored approach to therapy that includes fostering a safe, encouraging and collaborative space that nurtures personal growth, enhances emotional well-being and improves relationships.
The foundation of therapy is to promote change.
I look forward to supporting your journey to create a fulfilling and balanced life.
